1. The service

FamilySeen (“we”, “us”) provides a consent-based location sharing service for families at familyseen.com and app.familyseen.com and through our mobile applications (the “Service”). By creating an account or joining a circle you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts and guests

Circle owners register with an email address. People you invite may join as guests with only a display name; a guest who signs out without adding an email may lose access to that guest identity. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in codes to yourself.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Younger children may appear in a circle only under the supervision of a parent or guardian who manages it.

4. Subscriptions, trial, and cancellation

• FamilySeen Premium costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year and covers one circle owner’s account and up to 10 members per circle, across web, iPhone, and Android.
• New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required to start; you pay nothing if you cancel before the trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. We email you before your trial ends and before each renewal.
• You can cancel in one tap from Settings → Billing at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep access until then.
• Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded under those stores’ terms.

5. Acceptable use

FamilySeen is built for people who agree to share their location with each other. You must not:

• use the Service to observe anyone without their knowledge and agreement;
• attempt to access location data of people outside your circles;
• harass circle members, including misusing pings or SOS alerts;
• resell the Service, probe or disrupt our systems, or use the Service to break the law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. SOS and safety features — important

FamilySeen is not an emergency service and does not contact emergency services on your behalf. SOS alerts, arrival alerts, and the live map depend on device settings, battery, and network coverage, and may be delayed or unavailable. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number first.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided “as is” and we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or retire features; if a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance.

8. Your content and our rights

You keep all rights to your data. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service — for example, storing your location so your circle can see it. The FamilySeen name, logo, and software remain our property.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings; your personal data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. We may terminate accounts for material breach of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
